Many change programmes never get quite completed. Why? Because there seems to be no steady state, no end point, not halt to the changing needs of the business or the opportunities to innovate. Hence a project may just carry on and become part of the general infrastructure; an additional ongoing cost, not a cost saving. Worse still, it may be so slow that it’s changing the business into something that is already out of date.
Speed of design, development and delivery are therefore essential ingredients of successful change programmes. Flexibility is also a huge advantage.
Rapid design:
We provide tools to model, optimise and manage the many and various options available to managers responsible for service provision planning. These tools simplify strategic design and provide the drill down to best practice process definition and workflow design. They reduce the time to complete a fully integrated design by a factor of four; from the number of months it normally takes to the same number of weeks – usually less. So if the plan shows 9 months for the design phase, we won’t take more than 9 weeks and unlike normal design teams we do not exceed our planned time.
Rapid development:
Our designs are fully integrate so you don’t need to wait for the whole of design to be complete before starting development. As each process is signed off, it can go straight to the build stage. Each process’s place in the overall architecture is pre-defined so that the sequence of design and development is fully flexible with the resources available. As a further saving you can build the design into a developer’s contract and save a third of normal system-implementation costs and completely avoid change orders.
Rapid Delivery:
Because our process designs cover the steps and the connections between all users – rather than just those in the service centre – there is no secondary phase of change analysis and redesign from the users’ perspectives. Everything has been included in the original design, hence there’s no delay in delivery. We also have a ready-to-go end users’ electronic communications tool which you can install before the project starts. Change management therefore starts well before the back office is ready as end user’s pick up and run with tools they will use when the programmes is complete.
